Expected releases, applauded films, moving scripts, unforgettable characters, lives put on the big screen and shocking endings are part of the 2011 film scene. It was a year of mega premiers, including Harry Potter’s last film, superheroes, robots, aliens and cartoon stories, among others.

However, we are not going to talk about these movies. Here, we present a list of the movies that we consider deserve to be among the best films of the year. Some titles that don´t appear here made our decision quite difficult, however you can comment at the end of this article and add the movies that you consider were the best.

The immediacy that these new platforms and digital media allow has motivated users to search for the information directly without intermediaries (WikiLeaks, Anonymous, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc.) and has turned them into much more than just an entertainment source.
